Hey yβall! Welcome to One Blessed Life!
I'm so happy you stopped by! It is with great pride that I am able to share the most authentic essential oils in the world. We are blessed with one precious life and it is my mission to make the most of it and help as many people as I can to do the same!
First, Let me tell ya a little about myself π.
πΈLet me start out by saying I am fiercely private (insert my close friends who are in the background giving a hearty "AMEN" to that statement). I do NOT like change π¦ (at all, not even a little bit). Its only been within the last few years that God has forced changes in me that have allowed me to find peace and joy in sharing my life and my struggles with other people. (Yes, I said forced π) It's a journey y'all.
πΉI met my husband on my high school senior beach trip in Daytona Beach, Florida. π We have been together ever since, married 25 years. Love at first sight is a real thing peeps. π
πΊI graduated from East Tennessee State University at 21 years old with a finance π©βπdegree and big plans π΅.
π₯At 23, my world was turned upside down π by the big "C" word. My married life had just begun really, I was in a new bank job, and now faced with the reality that not only was I going to have to quit my new job to focus on surgery and treatment, but I would not be able to have children. We won't even discuss the hormonal wreck I became. (My husband deserves some sort of medal π₯for making it through those years)
πThere were so many miracles π and blessings in those years of my life it would take a whole book π to write (to be completely honest though, it took me a while to see and understand those miracles, at the time I didn't feel blessed. I felt quite the opposite). So instead, we will fast forward about 7 years to our adoption story. π¨βπ©βπ§ One I like to call our biggest miracle of all! This kid is everything we never knew we needed, and our absolute pride and joy. πShe tries my patience on a daily basis and is her daddy's girl through and through. I wouldn't have it any other way! (...and if you ever doubt God's goodness and perfect timing, let me tell ya the rest of this story sometime βΊοΈ)
πΌWith a new baby, I quit my job and picked up a new hobby that would allow me to make her first birthday cake. That new hobby turned into an opportunity and my own cake business for nearly 13 years. Toward the end of those years it became hard to function working long hours on my feet. Chemo and radiation brought long term side effects that eventually became impossible to ignore. (I know some of you can relate and are saying "amen" now too.)
πΏOver 5 years ago I was introduced to my new passion and current job title which is Lover of all things Essential Oils. π€(Yes that is my official title π). This loveπ has allowed me to not only feel like a new person, but also has freed up so much time to spend with my family (my favorite thing to do!).
πI've had more change in the last 3 years than in the last 20 I believe. I've retired my cake business, accidentally started a new business, moved homes (big deal-hadn't moved in 22 years) (pretty sure we were hoarders π³), began attending a new church βͺοΈ (even bigger deal-hadn't been to another church in 37 years), and changed the way we live on a daily basis to a healthier, toxin-free π±lifestyle that gives me so much freedom to enjoy this life that God has blessed me with.
πIn closing, let me tell ya about this old church song I used to hate. (Sorry to the precious folks that sang it, its nothing personal π€£). They would sing, "God will make this trial a blessing". I couldn't see how that was possible. I get it now. My trials have surely brought about my greatest blessings. God is good y'all. All the time!!
